Message The reason you do not want to run the divider on the downpipe is at a certain point it impedes or restricts wastegated exhaust gases and creates boost creep. The wastegated gases cannot exit enough volume of flow that they back up and end up flowing through the turbine wheel. This creates more exhaust gas/energy through to the turbine wheel that is unwanted. The boost starts to climb too high and is essentially not regulated. This happens on VG30s that are moving alot more air due to newer mods like larger intercooler piping, inlet pipes, 3" exhausts, etc.
